Birth and Death Certificates Title

The Town Clerk acts in the capacity of Division Registrar, registering vital events such as births and deaths that occur in this registration division. 

The Renfrew Victoria Hospital provides new parents with the documentation necessary to register the birth of their child.  This information, along with the $10 fee, must be forwarded to the Town Hall for processing and registration with the Registrar General's Office for the Province of Ontario.  Parents who do not complete the prescribed documentation and submit the appropriate fee will not have the birth registered, and will be unable to obtain a birth certificate. 

Funeral directors provide the municipality with the necessary information to register a death and collect the $10 fee on behalf of the municipality.
